Corporation's AltaVista Tunnel 97 as an exceptional add-on performance
product for users deploying VPNs.
Digital and Traveling Software have signed an agreement
to co-market Point B Remote
Net-Accelerator with AltaVista Tunnel 97 making it easy
for the growing number of corporate customers deploying the AltaVista VPN
solution to gain even speedier access to their corporate information.
"This marketing agreement puts the performance of Remote
Net-Accelerator directly in the hands of corporations that are on the forefront
of enabling their remote users to use the Internet to dial-in to the company."
stated Kevin Bohren, president and CEO of Traveling Software. "Every customer

Traveling Software's dedicated demonstration servers via a RAS or Tunneled

data over dial up connections.
Traveling Software (Booth #5225) will be exhibiting Oct.

and AltaVista Tunnel 97, by visiting the Digital Internet security products
exhibit in Hall B, Booth number 1611.
Point B Remote Net-Accelerator is a transparent 32 bit
client/server network software service that reduces remote access costs
through higher performance while requiring minimal setup and maintenance
from network administrators. Remote Net-Accelerator combines sophisticated
file compression, innovative disk caching and efficient buffering to consistently
increase application response times by 3-4 times over VPN or RAS remote
node connections. Traveling Software's new acceleration technology is a
great value-add to the growing number of corporations that are deploying
cost-effective NT servers and VPN'S for remote access.
AltaVista Tunnel 97 turns the Internet into a flexible,
remote extension for private networks, without the high cost or security
worries of Remote Access Servers (RAS). AltaVista Tunnel 97 secures network
connections by providing 512 bit user authentication, 128 bit encryption
and MD5 data integrity for users demanding industry leading security. AltaVista
Tunnel 97 dramatically reduces remote networking costs by:
Eliminating expensive modem banks and long-distance dial-up
connections,
Enabling end-users to securely access an intranet from
the far reaches of the Internet,
Supporting all firewalls, applications, and Internet Service
Providers,
Providing maximum security with user authentication and
strong worldwide encryption.
