What you do
Train your sales and technical staff
To supplement and expand on the information in the sales and technical training materials on our web site, we offer free monthly OnSite Computing Summits to our partners. These summits are designed to get your technical staff installing, configuring, and trouble-shooting the AltaVista product portfolio as soon as possible!

The content of the Summits will include detailed sales and technical information. The sessions are taught by representatives of AltaVista product marketing, product management, and engineering. Each monthly summit will offer:

  • a high-level review of the entire AltaVista Internet Software portfolio, and
  • a specific in-depth product focus.
The summits feature a lecture / live demo format and the classes are sized to facilitate interaction between the attendees and the presenters.

Train with the Best
Digtal and AltaVista have teamed up with Global Knowledge Network, Inc. to provide you with the most comprehensive technical hands-on classroom training on the AltaVista Security product family. These fee-based classes will offer you and your technical staff the latest training on configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance for the AltaVista Firewall 97 and AltaVista Tunnel 97 products working on the Digital UNIX and Microsoft Windows NT platforms.

Have your technical staff test their expertise
The AltaVista Internet Software portfolio is grouped into three product sets: OnSite Information, OnSite People and OnSite Security. A member of your technical staff needs to be accredited in each product set that you plan to resell.

To become accredited, a technical staff member will need to pass an online test located in the OnSite Testing area of the private partner web site. Those partners who already have a solid technical knowledge of the products they plan to resell can have their technical staff member skip the training and go directly to the test.
